Here's a nice directory of clubs & coffeehouses in SD, brought to you by CityBEAT.
My boy A-dog's getting married (yay). And then moving to Las Vegas (damn). He'll be back though. Nobody leaves SD for good.
Tribe's coming to SD. Tribe's coming to SD. Tribe's coming to SD.
These days in San Diego it seems like everybody and their mom's in the real estate business. I'm not in the biz but as a homeowner I'm compelled to keep the bubble going. Here are some RE-related links I've collected:

My brother saw Jazzy Jeff last time he was in town and said he's a true musician on the tables.
According to the latest CCDC update, half of Fahrenheit's 77 units have been reserved and completion date is now Nov 2005.
I saw these guys at Canes a few months ago. For underground rappers they put on a great professional show.
9 pm $20. Hmmm...Canes' webpages says Cheeks is from Pharcyde, but I thought the lyric went
Imani, Bootie Brown, Fat Lip and Slim Kid Tre
We do it this way, we do it this way...
Judging from the group's website this photography show at the venerable (well, venerable to me) should be damn interesting.
Wow, this is some gig that Tiesto gets to do. I guess you really can't simply write it off and say "its just DJing".
All the pet owners out there might be interested in this Salon article. It mentions these special poopy bags which I don't quite get. I just use a white 6" x 12" sandwich bag from Smart & Final. I've never had one break and they're long enough to quickly tie up and toss. A box of 500 costs 10 bucks.
And with that I give with you the poop-generator herself!

Just to be clear, its Jay Dee from ATCQ, Ummah, and Slum Village fame. Not Janet's husband.
The danceblogga has an interesting and spot-on entry for DJs. Its funny, I still have a little bit of the "Burned-Out-Never-Was-Been-Every-Record-Sucks" guy in me. But now I'm all about free gigs and playing whatever the f*ck I want and just being around people that like good music. I'm Scientifik bitch!
I don't listen to UK hard house that much any more, but I have to recognize Jon Bishop as a San Diego techno legend...hell, the San Diego techno legend. Those were some good & sweaty times at Rich's on Thursday nights. He doesn't spend as much time in SD nowadays, but it turns out he's been blogging.
It looks like mas is a little down about what's missing from Street Scene this year but it will be hard to change my mind. A Tribe Called Quest will be performing! I heard Q-Tip may not be joining Phife and the rest of the crew though. That will take a lot air out of the performance though I'm willing to bet it'll still be dope. Can I still use the word "dope"?
