Whistler 2004: Costs

Here are the current estimates for the cost of the trip. Leave a comment if you have any changes to suggest (i.e. keep looking for cheaper rooms, etc.).

Update: here's the info on the room Dan booked in Vancouver .

Airfare: $362
Shuttle to hotel: $30
Accomodations (Vancouver): $???
Accomodations (Whistler): $196
Lift tickets: $180


TOTAL: $768 (US dollars per person)


NOTES

General

  • Arrive Thu Mar 18, leave Mon Mar 22 (calendar).
  • Assumes 6 people in our party.
  • Prices in US dollars per person.
  • Assumes 20% Canadian taxes, exchange rate of 1 USD = 1.25 CAN or 0.80 USD = 1 CAN.
Airfare
  • Includes taxes and fees.
  • America West, round-trip from San Diego
Accomodations
Lift tickets
  • Price is for a 3-day pass.
  • May be cheaper if we purchase through hotel before we leave.
  • Price includes tax.

I contacted Mountainside Lodge, where we stayed last year, regarding a three-room suite:

"The room you are requesting is not available for the dates that you are looking for. We do have a studio loft available for those dates that would cost 375$ per night plus taxes and 14$ per night for parking. In this room there is a queen bed upstairs with a washroom and private sauna. The downstairs has a queen pullout bed , twin trundle beds a kitchen , fireplace and full washroom. If you would like to book or have any other questions call us Thanks Mountainside Lodge"
